Not hard to figure this is a Marshall style OD. TAW claim it does a Plexi/Vox/JCM 800 type sound. Vox? I don't think so. lol
It has the usual Level, Tone and Gain knobs. The fat switch kicks in some lows and the hot brings in more gain. The pedal has a 3 stage gain using FETS.
So it is not a bad sounding pedal at all.
In fact if I had one it would get a regular workout.
It has balz big time. The attack is incredible if you can ignore that a real Marshall does not have it. lol But who cares it sounds great!!!
CONCLUSION
The problem is for the same price point there is a lot of choice.
Is the Tech N Tone Turbo Nonna better? How much better?
How about tone and sustain.
It has the best variable gain I have ever heard. It sounds good whether you set it for low gain, medium gain or high gain. In fact it is so good it could have been designed and sold to be three different pedals. I hate the term 'it sounds like a real amp' but the damn Nonna really does!!!
If you have just one Brit pedal the Turbo
is the way to go.
...But hell ...why not buy both. LOL
