SUV are a small German company that poped up last December with just two pedals.
This is high gain version of their exceptional Low Rider that I reviewed awhile back.
I am sure it started with the classic Tune Screamer OpAmp but the comparison ends there. You get the standard 3 knobs of level, gain and tone. The two switches are what gives it all the magic, The right one is a two level bass boost and the left pumps up the mids or move it right up where it boosts the uppermids which give the pedal a lot of poke.
It does have a Plexi vibe to it but the lower end of a Plexi has a thick mass to it. The HR one the other hand has this soft floating dense fog like sound in the lows. The sound is very ethereal and is unique to this pedal.
You should check out the Low rider. It has less gain but that beautiful floating fog thing is even more pronounced.
It is a great pedal but personally I like the Low rider just a bit more.
