He needed a versatile high gain distortion to get everything from 80's Metal to modern Metal even Djent.
Pro Tone came to the rescue with the Distortion Engine.
A switch gives you vintage and modern voicings.
the layout is straight forward with Volume, Gain. and a 3 way EQ.
All parameters a have a wide range of both tone and equally important ...level. With very high levels of quite literally everything.
The pedal is an all encasing Amp-in-a- Box. You can use it with small amps set clean and still get a huge sound.
There are some other excellent video's on Facebook which I can not transfer here. They are worth a look as you would swear you were hearing an equally good but different pedal
They are impressive.
It is great to have choice and this another damn good pedal.
We have the REVV, DSM, Lichtlaerm, and ENGL all with serious boxes
that take a true Metal sound to the guy that plays a combo.
As typical of all of Pro Tone product it is never over priced.
It is a great time for Metal either Modern or Classic or anything in between!
