Mod Tone has a jagged history they were one of the first
to offer hand made pedals at a budget price. They then had
them made in China in unusual triangular cases.
That didn't work out. They disappeared and then reemerged
with their original line of pedals frequently adding new pedals.
The Flex is a Metal Pedal that first appeared in 2015. It is more like a 90's then a Modern Metal sound.
You get Level &Gain...the small stacked knobs have treble and bass and another has Mids and Scoop.
the price is very good as this pedal fares well against pedals as high as $175.00 USD.
It is not bad! BUT the Geneva Ji Si Distortion is on sale right now for $50.00 USD.
when it first came on the scene their pedals were $200.00 USD and were 'hot' at that price, The regular price is now $100.00 USD but the sale is half that.
Yes there may be something going on with the company or the dealer. BUT at $50.00 USD ...Who cares. The pedal is sold as a Marshall style pedal but a switch turns it into damn great copy of a MESA Dual Rectifier sound. That my friends is one killer sound. 99% of the BIG HAIR Metal bands had that amp!
