It is is a one pedal does all? It claims to cover an Ibanez TS-808, 

a BOSS OD-1, a MARSHALL Guv'nor, an OCD and a one of their 

own that sounds Vox-ish???

The layout is Volume, Tone and Gain. Body is a Mids control and 

Mode is a rotary switch that lets you choose the Voice.

            CONCLUSION ___

Not surprising all but the Vox voice that is their own is

although usable not exactly convincing. That said the 

Voices are a good starting point for this OD with lots 

of control to dial one or 2 great sounds. It scores full

marks. It has balz, bite, great definition and lots of

character. It's a winner.

This one has it all. Not just wild abandonment but plenty of control 

and a tight sound. It even checks the box for girth. If that is not 

enough you get lots of sustain and a wall of sound usually only 

found in a good Muff or a Fuzz Face. The layout is Octave, Volume, 

Tone, Gain and Wear ...input control. 

     CONCLUSION ___

Octave Fuzz has literally become this years fad. 

Everyone is making one. Many are flat out over 

the top or very in control to the point of laying

out of the way behind the vocals. This hits all

the bases. My first impression is it is both 

an all rounder and great value for your $.

BOOSTER- LPD PEDALS Spearhead ___NEW ___start perfect end perfect

The premise is simple. Go from guitar to pedal and shape the 

perfect sound to head to your amp while maintaining the 

sound of that guitar. Add punch, fullness, definition & harmonic 

clarity yet keep the character of your instrument. In short you 

simply want more of what the guitar already offers. If your 

guitar is the Mona Lisa then it simply needs the perfect frame 

around that picture.

The layout is Boost, and a boost of the entire signal. Tone in 

this case keeps the highs adequate but sweet. The Low Cut 

removes wool from the lowest lows yet you have Bass to give 

you as much as you need for a very full sound without the 

extra low, lows you do not need. Push gives you fat full mids 

& borrows its circuit from the pre of the classic EchoPlex.

      CONCLUSION ___

The damn thing simply adds what you need

and nothing you do not. Even if what you 

need is the heaviest sound on the planet, 😇.

It is a straight forward no fuss BluesBreaker clone.  

Unpretentious and to the point,

     CONCLUSION ___

This one is very transparent. The sound is

crystal clear with exceptional definition.

Unusually punchy compared to others. 

Easily as good as those wanting 

double the money. 

FUZZ- PIGTRONICS Octava Micro ...8 years on and still Rockin' !

The Octava is a take on the original Tycobrahe Octavia an Octave 

Fuzz that does a thing choking the signal forcing it to reverse 

back up towards the input. The side effect is that squeals up an 

octave while making a huge squelching noise and then drops 

out like it has a hard gate. Pigtronics do a good take on it.

The layout is Volume, Blend, Filter and Gain.

     CONCLUSION ___

The thing about the Pigtronix is it sounds very good. It is 

easy to pull out a great sound without having to fight it. 

It is a pedal most guys will use very sparingly so having it in a mini pedal tucked in a corner of your board makes a lot of sense. Yes Behringer make an excellent $80 clone of the Tycobrahe. They even nail the enclosure. The pedal is large and not quite as user friendly. But as for tone there isn't a bad choice.

Made in Spain for 25 years. This appears to be v.3. The first 

had 2 knobs, the second 3 & both were painted green. They 

point at being half booster pedals and dare I guess???  

Over boosted Tube Screamers, 😇.

The layout is Level, Tone & Gain. A toggle lets you select 

one of 3 voices. 

           CONCLUSION ___ 

The voices go from cleanish low gain/boost to 

medium gain to a harsh high gain. The sounds 

are not very transitional. I can't see who 

its aimed at.
