A basic idea. Make a Pro Reverb cheap by giving you 3 basic sounds 

that are in 99% of all Pop or Rock hit tunes that you need and if you 

need to on the odd occasion want the Footgazer Star Wars stuff buy another pedal since you cannot go Star Wars to no reverb at all as 

it sounds weird. So this Nobels becomes your always on Verb. 

The layout is Size, Blend and Tone. You get Spring, Plate 

& Hall which covers all the 'must haves'.

            CONCLUSION __

It delivers the goods. All the sounds sound 

totally Pro and are voiced for tunes to lay 

in the background not for theatrical 

soundtracks. Priced right on the money. 

Likely a permanent fixture as an always on.

I must get right to the point. Our buddy in Alaska is giving 

us the 'REAL DEAL'. The original was made by Sola Sound 

for Vox but only for one year in 1968 because Vox UK went 

out of business. The layout is simple with just a volume 

and tone control.  

             CONCLUSION __   

The sound speaks for itself and $200 

is reasonable for a virtual accurately 

replicated sound.

What if you took the schematic for the Big Muff but put in the 

EQ tonestack of the VOX AC30's Top Boost? Apparently the 

Burgess would be created. The layout gives you Gain and 

Level with a toggle giving you a classic sound or something 

more modern and in in your face.

     CONCLUSION __

We get a great up market look with tasteful graphics 

and classic MXR style knobs in a basic Hammond 

1590B enclosure. The tone is high gain & massive 

The Vox bit keeps the sound from getting dark or 

muddy. Add to that it is not the usual same old 

clone. All this with a small price on the menu. 

...not even a tiny piece of lint to pick.

You must not grumble just because it is another Dumble,😇. This company makes faux dumble amps that cost as much 

as a real Dumble. So perhaps they can clone the sound 

better than most. The layout is Volume, Tone, Gain & Level.

          CONCLUSION 

Maybe they nailed it? Maybe they didn't.  

The sound is killer. The price is high enough 

in some countries to buy yourself a skillful 

hitman who too is arguably a killer as well.

This has been a hugely successful Dumble-in-a-Box 

unit that several variations were made into both single 

and/or double pedals. At which time this was dropped 

and players cherry picked one of the niche variations 

that most nailed the superhero they emulated... BUT? 

Many guys like me were more concerned to dial in

their own perfect sounds. It is intuitive but I will let 

the video explain the layout or I would have to copy  

the manual, lol. 

            CONCLUSION

The extra high headroom and the Clean blend 

are to me its most exciting new features.  

They have always been very pricy. BUT? They have 

not raised them and lesser pedals have rocketed up  

past them. You get good value for your ca$h.

WHAT's NEXT ?   

My guess is Behringer is aiming to grab first place. 

They dropped the ball for a few years but the new 

formula is all about both cheap but great sounding & looking pedals. They will leave nothing untouched. 

They have the advantage of a massive high tech factory with everything in one place from designers to making their own parts & to the shop floor just a short walk away.

When I post a new Behringer 10 times more of you are looking at that post than @ other pedals & from within minutes of me posting it. My Posts are the voting booth and you guys are the voters.    

 

GOODBYE AMERICA 

Brands like Strymon, JHS Wampler & Keeley may disappear as we know 

them. The gap in MIC vs. U.S. quality keeps getting smaller & smaller 

& more & more product in China is assembled without human hands. 

Like TC Electronic Behringer might buy them. Alternatively they could 

simply like MXR have them made in China. Electro Harmonix have all 

the guts made in China then assemble the 4 or 5 parts in the U.S. to 

qualify as made in the U.S. This will be adopted by others.

Gourmet one man operations will survive especially if they specialize 

in one or 2 types of pedals and work from home, 😇.
