ROTARY- DAWNER PRINCE Pulse Revolving Speaker Emulator....exceptional !!!

 DAWNER PRINCE ELECTRONICS
 PULSE  REVOLVING SPEAKER EMULATOR
$340.00 USD
A Rotary speaker pedal based on mechanical units made by Dopola Pulse and the Maestro's Rover RO-2. (see below) I

will not copy out the manuals, LOL. So check out the videos.
      CONCLUSION ___
Recently a few makers have made pedals including BOSS. That said most focus on emulating the Leslies speaker cab. The cheapest is JHL Series 3 Rotary Chorus. The best value is the $240.00 USD BOSS Rotary Ensemble because it has all the features for the least money. Then there is the Yamaha RA -200 that Drawmer has also done as the Eclipsa which I have an April 29th Post of it.

DELAY- TC ELECTRONIC Echobrain ...9 years on and still valid!

 tc electronic
Echobrain ANALOG DELAY
$40.00 USD
The owner of TC. is  Behringer and this is their answer to the complaint
that Behringer makes plastic copies of other makers pedals. So this analog delay is not a direct clone of anything. It is well made with in a sturdy steel box with reliable parts The parts are hardly audiophile so not every pedal in the line is great. A few will surprise you. The layout is a basic Time, Mix & Repeats.
     CONCLUSION ___
It has a basic old school 300 ms of delay unlike
modern units with twice. Capable of acting as a
faux reverb when pulled back. It handles classic
background echoes for a solo well. I personally
NEVER need more than it does. It is not a Star Wars/
Shoegaze gadget. For lack of comparison it leans
towards an electro-harmonix sound. It has just
basic features & perhaps just a bit of raw & edgy tone.
It sounds totally pro & is the best in its price range.

OVERDRIVE- ICEBERG EFFECTS STRIJP-S___NEW ___released today!

ICEBERG EFFECTS
STRIJP-S     ||
$150.00 USD
It is described as a Greer Lightspeed coupled with their Southland.
A lot of blah blah bull. It is a V.1 Timmy with added gain. Just look
under the hood.
The layout is Volume, Gain and Tone (in spite of the pretentious
labeling on the box). A toggle gives you 2 extra stages of light &
medium gain.
         CONCLUSION __
WTF ...a lot of cork sniffing verbal fluctuance that
no one needs to sell a very basic clone. We have
one video & it is in the ballpark of the decades old
v.1 Timmy. Buy the USD Caline Pure Sky a very,
very accurate clone of the first Timmy.

WHICH PEDAL SOUNDS BETTER ????

 ||  A  METALLICA  RIFF

DELAY- FENDER Mirror Image Delay ...bulls eye!!!

F E N D E R
 MIRROR IMAGE DELAY
$230.00 USD
Time goes by. This pedal is 8 years old. About the time when
chips that put Strymon on the map became cheaper as another generation had replaced them so those chips became yesterday's chips which allowed the mid priced pedals like this Fender to sound like Strymon pedals.
      CONCLUSION ___
This is not an ambient style pedal. We get the basics,
Tape sounds, analog sounds and a good basic digital sound. Modulation is needed to emulate Tape sounds so Fender
has extended its range to add chorus sounds to any
voice you pick.
The bottom line is Strymon like quality for a price
many new Fuzz or Overdrives now cost.

DELAY- JOYO JF-33 Analog Delay ...MXR-118 clone ...surprisingly good!!!

JOYO  JF-33
AnalogDelay
A take on the MXR-118 Analog Delay. A monster pedal that
plugged right into a wall socket. It was made from 1976 to
1984.The layout is Time, Mix and Repeat.

$35.00 USD
        CONCLUSION ___
The MXR is very organic and a just a bit raspy compared
to the smaller pedals that we discuss more as the classics.
Those however were pedals of the 80's from Maxon/Ibanez
and Boss. It was however on a lot of records over its time.
The MXR-118 was replaced by the MXR Time Delay. It was
an instant flop, As for the Joyo there are no comparison
videos. It was not until 2008 that MXR made the Carbon
Copy. In short the Joyo is MXR-ish but not enough to call it
a clone. The important thing is it has a Pro sound and is on
a lot of boards. You get a lot of pedal for your $36.
...Class! Dismissed

FUZZ- GIGAHEARTS FX Siliface ___NEW ___Fuzz Face clone

$160.00 USD
GIGAHEARTS |FX
SILIFACE
__________________________
A good ol' very to the point Fuzz Face clone from
Manchester UK. I love the simple graphics taken
straight of the round casing original. The layout
is Volume, Gain & BIAS.
           CONCLUSION ___
Nothing really new It is just a straight to
the point clone with no beep ups or
major surgerys.
It is like that old hammer in your toolbox.
Not too exciting but does the job every
time. Rough and ready!!!
