The build quality and rep of this company are untouchable. In short with them it really gets down to whether the pedal fits you needs. Shawn Tubbs is really a Studio guy even his few live gigs are usually produced for broadcast situations. He is really neither a MIAB guy or even a totally transparent OD guy. Many pedals he likes are J Rockett who have a very Nashville Studio tools focus. His heavy sounds are Hard Rock.

That said the best idea is to let the guy show you the pedal himself and explain not just what each thing does but more important why he needs it.

CONCLUSION

The REVV is designed for an easy to use and total focus on any shade

of grey needed to be found immediately yet dead perfect for a recorded sound especially if it's live without any second takes.

R.J. Ronquillo in the 3rd demo has put it on his board. Like Shawn his gigs are either studio or sideman for touring popular vocalist in a wide variety of different genres.
