The whole point about this pedal was to find a pedal that was very like a Tube Screamer but without the 1K mid range boost. Just something to warm up a Fender Combo in the Nashville studios often set vey clean that needed just a bit of crunch but had a reasonably transparent sound. The pedal has been basically unchanged in any meaningful way since 1993.

In Nashville every studio has one as do most of the guys called in for a session.

If it's not broke don't fix it has been the rule for decades. The problem is that when a humbucker PU goes thru it the pedal creates a very muddy sound. The new mod leaves the topography and the look alone so you can now pop off the bottom plate and with a screwdriver easily tighten up the low end without it messing up the ODR tone. 

CONCLUSION

A classic, a great tool for its job, still with a heavy duty Boss style enclosure. Now with it's only downside fixed. It still is a contender for a low gain OD. At $120.00 USD  it is one of the best 'value for money' pedals on the planet.
