GUITAR- GUILD SURFLINER ____ NEW ____ nice fit & finish, chimey, $450.00 USD

GUILD SURFLINER GUITAR

An old school brand bought out by Gibson who stopped making the guitars because they had just bought Steinberger and needed the factory to make it as it was still hot. They left it on the back burner so long they decided to dump it. The only buyer got the name but not much else so they moved the shop to Korea to get a balance between quality and price. They eventually got the old line back into production but anything truly new never flew but maybe this time they have something
This new one's overall vibe is retro including the name. The headstock has a Gibson vibe and the body is a nod to the 90's Fender Toronado.
$450.00 USD
This Surfliner has a poplar body. A good choice as  it sounds like alder but it's lighter and the weight is consistent from tree to tree. The neck is a 25 1/2" bolt on Canadian Hard rock maple. The bridge PU is a Guild LB-1 with a mini which has a PAF with a Gretsch chimey sound. The middle and neck PU's are DeArmond Aerosonic single coils with a Burns vibe that is crystal clean and bright. The tuners are sevivable but nothing special. the bridge is take on the old Guild Adjustomatic. The guitar is very chimey.
