MY MONTHLY RANT

WTF !!! Some ay-hole at Fender wants to pull my Harley Benton Strat right out of my hands and smash it to pieces.!!!! If they do I will be shoving those pieces right up their ....

TIME OUT

The big oops last month is Fender after 72 years Fender wants every maker of a guitar that makes a guitar with its body cloned even if only vaguely cloned, to not just stop, but smash up their inventory and buy back the ones thy sold and smash them too. Then send videos to prove the destruction. Fender sent them a legal warning and it was literally worded just as I just wrote it. In short a Mafia  draconian demand. Small companies can not afford the lawyers that Fender can. Fenders lawyers only need to use legal loopholes to tie it up in the courts and these companies will be bankrupt. A trial by jury would win for the cloners as they would rightly see

the guitar as a 72 year old style of an appliance like a refrigerator or stove etc, that never got 

a patent in the first place and is now decades old. The BIG BUT is some bigger company like PRS would have to do it.  

FUZZ at half price? 

I have worked with several designer/builders trying out proto-types over the

last 10 years. I recently was sent a Fuzz from Sweden that really impressed me. The maker suggested that rather than start a budget brand he thought selling it as my brand LENARD Re-Inventions could benefit us both. The estimated price would be $100.00 USD. About half that of a brand name. For that you get a  handmade Fuzz without shortcuts or dumb downs like not mounting the adapter and input jack right to the pedal ...not like even some well known names to the circuit board. Some seriously good parts are used that are the roots of the sonic strength of the overall sound. 

Money will be saved on cosmetics that do not do anything except bump the price. The 

pedal would come in a simple raw  Hammond 1590 B type enclosure. The kind used for MXR pedals since the MXR Phase 90 was made. There won't be graphics just a simple 

pro label with LENARD, Re-Inventions and FUZZ. There will not be any hotshot YouTubers 

giving you a demo. You would be buying on trusting that after doing 4300 reviews that 

if I put a pedal on my board it has to sound damn good.

To get to the point I need to know if you guys are interested.

The big deal is not the Chorus voice all though it is very warm and full, the big deal

is it has a near killer Rotary/faux Leslie Speaker cab sound. When one needs to sub 

for what one could prefer to play on an acoustic and you are stuck with just your clean sound this if nothing captures the vibe and mood an acoustic makes . Even much, much more if you are flatpicking or finger picking some parts.

...it is a no-brainer choice now that it sells for $60.00 USD
