TALON ELECTRIC
Dual Drive
Is this all too little too late. Have we been Klon and Blusesbreaker-ed to death, LOL.The Klon as god has finally become unemployed and the Bluesbreaker has been reworked so much it is unrecognizable. Would you know a Bluesbreaker is a Bluesbreaker without being told. The layout as expected is Volume, Tone and Gain for the Klon and Volume ,Gain, Treble and Bass for the B. A toggle gives you some cleans mixed in or a boost. another toggle lets you choose which is first in a stack.
CONCLUSION ___
Is this two good and necessary tools for your toolbox or not. If you find the whole idea
a tiresome bore you have my attitude. You can find these separate and the odds of both sounds by the same builder being better than getting them seperate from 2 builders is improbable to the extreme. That said, the tone is in general pleasing. It captures the Pre circuit of the Klon very well and the Drive side of the Klon is no match for a Bluesbreaker. You will pay the same money these days for a Klon not near as good. In short in spite of my grumbling I like this pedal.
...Bondi Effects MKII has a similar idea but use the best bits of
the use a Tube Screamer & Klon.
