It is quite simply the tube preamp from a real Dumble Amp. The best results is to put it in your amp from the Effects in 

on your Effects loop and not use your amps pre at all. You can put it thru the your amps front but your amps pre will alter the true Dumble sound. An economical solution to a really killer sound would be to use a Fender tube amp. A Fender Hot Rod has a classic Fender power amp stage and a used one for 

around $550.00 USD is very common place.
