Groovy Wizard Fuzz Driver
The company started during the pandemic by four guys who worked for
or even in other companies. The guy doing the demo Howard Gee, at one time years back did ALL the demos for Catalinbread. The pedal is part Fuzz part hardriver distortion. It uses both germanium and silicon transistors.
The layout is Volume, Gain, Presence, and Contour which is in part
a highpass filter.
CONCLUSION __You can definitely dial in a very diverse range of detailedand totally usable sounds. It could be a dream pedal formany songwriters. Not for those with a mind set for theclassics or of those pedals that are really just beeped up
spin offs. I can not fault it. It is not trying to competein anyone else's race race of being best in category.
Howard didn't just do the demos, he was one of the geniuses behind Catalinbread's circuit design, and why they've not done anything interesting since he left.
ReplyDeleteI was not sure but any time but when they had a great sounding analog pedal he was the one who new every detail of it from memory which made me think it was him that designed it all.
