ELECA
EVD-1| TUBE DISTORTION
Back when Noah got off the Arc a few companies had a shot at making a tube OD. Not always a good idea as unless they are treated as a preamp with at least a couple of tubes they tend to be only nasty and squawk like a small animal being strangled, lol. The trick was to use them as a boost pedal that gave you some killer cut and fooled the ear into even a cheap solid state single channel practice Combo had something cool going on.The layout is volume, Gain, Treble and Bass.
A second footswitch lets you switch from clean to dirt.
CONCLUSION ___The good news is the price for a tube pedal is normally thru the roof. The bad news is the pedal has long been out of production. The best news is that Robert of
'Only Pedals' scrouges the planet for NOS pedals in dusty warehouses and scoops them cheap
but passes it on. Others sell them as 'Rare Old'.
Not Robert!!! 😇
Hey, Eleca also makes a pretty decent Big Muff clone AND a Sovtek Bassballs clone too, for less than $50 each!

Hi thanks for the link. They do have a lot of interesting pedals but it looks like they have been all discontinued. It shows all as "Sold Out" except for 2 models.
ReplyDeleteAlso the site looks pretty dated... not sure but could it be that they wnet out of business or not producing pedals anymore. Cheers
