RARE EARTH Germanium Device

The guy makes small esoteric amps handwired point to point 

on the chassis pre 70's tech. He also makes this one Fuzz pedal. definitely a small nod to a Tonebender v.1. 

It is perhaps best explained via the layout. You get a knob labeled Expander that is indeed your volume control and has more than sufficient output to act as a serious  boost.

A second knob is labeled Swell that is a gain that works with 

both your input and output levels.

On the side you get a toggle that will bypass much of the 

circuit and give you a massive response across all frequencies.

CONCLUSION ___

Yes the enclosure is slightly triangular. It's a Hammond 1590 short trapezoid. The pedal goes from a totally usable low gain OD boost kind of thing to a total Doom pedal. 

Its low gain is very much an overdrive/boost thing.  

It is full of character harmonic detail and warmth. 

It well deserves to be in with any aficionados collection. 

At the same time it could be on any guys board dialed  

in totally different then all the others.
