OVERDRIVE- DEMON PEDALS Kondo Shifuka D-Style ...a Dumble or a Bumble

$315.00 USD
 DEMON PEDALS KONDO SHIFUKU D-Style
Demon Pedals were created by a couple of guys one from a Stoner Rock Band & another from Punk. Most of their pedals have graphics and names that suggest that India might be home? But on the very last page of the pedals manual in very blurry print it says Germany. LOL

They have great graphics and most have a light humorous approach. These guys are all about having fun and just following their nose to the next idea and pedal.

First the D-Style thing is not D for Demon but D for Dumble.

Every Dumble Amp is different as they point out. The aim is give you a serious quality sound from low to a light medium gain tone.
In that although subjective I feel they succeed. This is pedal to listen too many times to see if it exactly your thing,

The pedal has a simple layout with Drive, Tone, Volume and Accent. There are 3 switches. One labeled B,C &D is different gain  stages the second Jazz & Rock the 3rd ODS & Steel
that gives you compression for soloing.

CONCLUSION
First if this is not teamed up with a good clean amp ideally a Fender Deluxe you will not get a Dumble sound. The pedal has nice rich tone and Fusion players should find it worthy of a listen. I have heard others and the Vertex did a great clone of the amp they used to capture
the sound from. It however is noticeably much more aggressive. The demon on the other hand imparts more a sophisticated take that I feel is in keeping with most players ideal of the sound.
