____ COOL IDEA ____ 1972 ....Vinger Joe's guitarist Peter Gage's infinite sustain secret

PETER GAGES SUSTAINER
At a concert in 1972 in London UK I saw the band Vinegar Joe. They had a Blues Rock mixed with a Stax/Motown vibe for their grooved type rhythmic sound.
While I watched him sing and play I kept noticing while not even being near his amp he got killer long sustain from his Strat without moving away from singing into his mic.

Beside him he had a small outdoor horn from an old train station being demolished used to announce incoming trains etc. that he got for free. It was attached to an old round base Atlas mic stand and plugged
into one of the speaker outputs on his amp. The stand was set to his waist height level. By leaning just a bit towards it his guitar went into feedback.
Between the guitars volume and small movements he could at will get a long sustain and even make it leap an octave higher.
Dead cool idea yet no one ever picked up on it
and made a similar commercially available device.
the fine print
It you are adventurous and want to try a 30 to 50 watt
horn at 8 ohms that most speaker outs on guitar amps
have are around $50 to $70
