OVERDRIVE- VS AUDIO Platinum Plexi Drive ___ NEW ___ 1987 Marshall Silver Jubilee
$250.00 USD
VS AUDIO PLATINUM PLEXI DRIVE
Our Greek friends have a new pedal They tend to have one a year and have a big following. The biggest is Shane from 'in the Blues' So in the past one can end up waiting.
The look got my attention. They have always use the standard Hammond B style pedals. This look is an all steel casing with a wrap over front and rear. Definitely cool.
It is an accurate take on the Marshall 1987 Silver Jubilee. A kind of half step from
a JMP 800 and the 900. The topography is its own, so it is really unique.
The layout is amp like. You get treble, mid and bass with a input/preamp volume
and a master out A toggle for presence and a footswitch for a fixed boost.
CONCLUSION
Impressive. They always have great sounding pedals but they lean towards bright somewhat transparent tones rather really beef sounds with a lot of breadth. In spite of that they are magic in a band you get an incredibly
detailed and rich crystal clear sound and it can be dialed into precisely
to fit your rig.
My first impression is to buy one before I even finish this review, LOL.
It’s on their website now: € 229! https://www.vsaudio.com/index.php/product/platinum/
