OVERDRIVE/BOOSTER- DLS Reckless Driver ...it's good enough for Alex Lifeson :-)

 DLS RECKLESS DRIVER
$140.00 USD
These guys have been around since 1999. They started from the get go of making quality manufactured pedals that sell cheap. Of course today this seems at best relative. But keep in mind they thought old school. they never thought 'gourmet' They wanted to be like Boss.
The layout looks a bit confusing but it is easy to get around. You have bass, treble. volume and gain. The boost has volume and gain. there is a switch called 'Attack' which add some clean in and a mini knob to mix in how much on both the boost and normal channel.
It is a low to medium gain OD. It is definitely a hard clipper. It has lot of bite. With the Attack dimed it has a lot of bite. Even so it is not strident. the overall sound is chunky and balzy.

CONCLUSION
Alex Lifeson used one as a booster.
It has a lot going for it. Even if you are like me into a Marshall-in-a-Box'
As a booster with or without dirt added it would be a great pedal to stack
on smooth sounding OD.
