I can find virtually nothing about L.A.
other then they make a few Gourmet pedals
of which this is perhaps their most popular.
It is an OD/Dist with basic layout of Volume,
Tone, Gain a switch with 2 filter modes they
call clean or smooth and 6 position rotary
switch which you can choose clipping diodes.
The clipping diodes create progressive more
dirt from mild to near Fuzz.
CONCLUSION
I it's lowest setting it has very nice low gain sound.

for someone doing a covers gig that covers a lot of
styles.
If if you you find the low to medium gain sounds pleasing
then you may wish to check out Friedman's Golden Pearl
similar but more organic, tube like, smaller and cheaper.
