This Fuzz is based off of the 1966 Mosrite Fuzzrite
falls into the territory of the Tonebender, Fuzz Face
and Big Muff in so much as it was very early Fuzz
that probably had the first Fuzz the Maestro FZ-1 Fuzz Tone to start from but that's where the BIG 3 Fuzz pedals started. The big deal was that it was built using a new type of transistor! The Silicon. lol 

This was 3 years before the Big Muff !!! So history cheated them out of pedal fame because very few today even know it exists.
The layout of the of the Detonator is the familiar volume and tone. Where it gets interesting is the Transistor that controls compression, gain and bite. A further control called Feedback adds squealing, spluttering and oscillation. It can be switch in with a footswitch and the left footswitch is momentary latch switch to bring it on or kill it easily. 
                            Finally a Big Muff tone control lets you smooth and tighten the tone.

Instead of Fuzz vomit making it impossible to play a standard tune or make you curb what you can do on a shred ...it gives you the kind of crowd pleasing pyro sounds that only a whammy could add ...if you have both better still!!!
