It is old school Hard Rock when it was enough to have a generic tube amp vibe. Ironically this pedal reminds me of some of the current hot rodded Blues Breakers that anything on the gain knob above 10 o'clock goes into high gain and good-bye BB sound. Yes the BB is an Opamp not a JFET pedal. A polar opposite, lol. It says a lot about a good Op-Amp vs. a so-so FET pedal. The layout is Volume, Gain, Treble, Mids and Bass with a switch to kick in a boost.
