Yes folks get out your steel umbrella these days it keeps raining Fuzz pedals. Well if you do not need a Fuzz it is a pain but if you do you get plenty of choice. I like it because I get a handle on what is out there these days. Also if there is something really cool I can sell my old Fuzz before most players even know it could be yesterdays news. 😇
Well this is a hand made Tone Bender Mk 1.5 from Spain with ideas adapted from the Fuzz Face and the Zonk just for a start.
The layout tells it all. You get Gain, Level and Tone. A switch goes between
Zonk and Fuzz Face mode. Another switch is to turn on and off the battery
as the pedal deliberately avoids adapters for that just one more drop
of good sound😏
The pedal uses NOS vintage germanium transistors.
CONCLUSION ___
Well the pedal has full rich germanium tone with a really nice growl
on the lows. It has a very low gain vibe. Not what I was expecting.
A dream Fuzz for a heavy underpinning to a vocal.
Not an in-your-facer but a good pedal to stack with one. ↭
