The original Tone Bender was a game changer. It took the some what garage band sound of the Fuzz Tone and turned it into the first serious high gain pedal. A few small builders still reproduce replicas with varying degrees of authenticity. Oddly enough these pedals were made of budget parts of the era. Rarity of any new old stock has lead to using very similar parts often from Russia. They were produced for years after they were in effect redundant as Russia was very slow to modernize. 

CONCLUSION ___ 

The only thing modern on this pedal is DC plug so you can use 

it with an adapter. It has a totally raw and big sound but it it is germanium so it will likely have recurring reliability issues. 

In short, good days and bad ones.
