Well once again we see the familiar Tube Screamer OpAmp style dirt pedal. To be fair it has great highs and a meaty low end and a lot more headroom than one expects from such a unit.
The boost side of the pedal uses germanium transistors that gives the whole pedal a very earthy sound.
The overall effect is transparent but with the boost kicked in it reminds me of the old Rat pedal but with a much warmer and open sound but still keeping that old hardclippers punch.
CONCLUSION
Daredevil has always had a rep of a well made pedal with a lot of character and personality.
It is for the guy that wants something different that is just that ...different but not weird and something that started it's life used by Johnny Woter who is Mr. Daredevil himself who used it at the clubs to make sure it cut it in the real world. It is hard not to like!
