GUITAR___A FENDER__FOR A GIBSON LOVER__

| LENARD F-4G |
W.T.F. ???
So what is this all about.

As a guy who always loved the fat sound of a Gibson and the feel and length of the neck I still could not help but admire some guitar players that choose a Fender often a Strat but sometimes a Tele.
With careful listening I noted exactly what I liked.
and for that matter what really works for a Gibson
Player.
A  great example is Hendrix. His sound  was at it's best when he used the neck pickup. It had most of the magic and sometimes the middle PU when it was combined with the neck for that hollow out of phase sound. It's worth keeping in mind Robin Trower who only solo's on the neck PU.
When it came to the Tele it was all about the neck pickup with that 'spank' on the attack.
Page used this for a killer tone.
I can never figure why Fender did not offer such a hybrid guitar with a Tele bridge PU and a Strat PU for the neck and mid?
I tried playing both guitars but could not deal with the neck.

As for the Strat I do not use a whammy (go figure lol) so it was
a mass of junk that got in my way.
Sure the body shape made it comfortable but
not enough to get over it looking like a melted
blob of plastic.

I did not mind the Tele body shape except for the lower horn that is nothing more than a giant phallic. I felt like sawing it off!!!  lol
The single cut look is OK but the guitar doesn't balance with it.
It needs a small horn more like the Strat so it will balance.
The awkward looking pickguard and then the controls on a big chunk of chrome has just has to go!.

WHY DOESN'T SOME ONE TAKE THE BEST OF BOTH GUITARS AND PUT ON A 24 1/2 INCH NECK WITH A GIBSON FEEL TO IT!!!

If you want something done now & done right ...do it yourself.

It took 4 years to get it right but it will hopefully arrive
late this year.
Yes the C19 thing has ground progress to a halt.

The wood, hardware and PU's are all 50's Fender spec.
right down to the alloys of the metal in the hardware.

The Tele came out in 1950 and the Strat in 1954. I feel this is a cross between the two looks. It looks like a Fender that could have come out in 1952. A bit of both but just a little of it's own thing! Maybe I should have called it the Forecaster. lol

LENARD F-4G
It is handmade with a lot of attention to detail. It is aimed at the Gibson player as a second guitar. Gibson guys like quality but like everyone have a budget. Add to that if you are a Gibson guy this is a guitar to use at the gig for a few songs not all the tunes. It will probably be as much as $950.00 USD but we are hoping $850.00USD.
The plan is if enough guys want one we can get the price down to as low as $750.00 USD.

Even handmade if one for example paints 6 at a time instead of just one the overhead drops
and hence the price. There is less waste and cleanup. If one sits installing hardware even by hand and puts in 6 bridges the 6 pickguard etc. etc. on at one go ... the price drops.
This is how the early Fenders were made.  Produced in small batches. We all know how much better those old Fenders were made. It was more about specialization. Highly skilled luthiers should not be installing the hardware and pickguards. Sure in a small shop they will be supervised by the luthier to maintain quality control. But at our shop the luthier signs off on every piece and these guys are anal about what they will OK!!! lol

If you want chapter and verse and see every spec on the guitar and why each thing was chosen GOOGLE ___
