When it come to Classic Fuzz pedals I get cautious there are exact clones, clones with upgrades that do not with NOS for the voicing. Others start there and add modern features and real improvements and still others that virtually interpretations.
None are necessarily bad as far as sounding good. On the whole I find the ones that start by
using NOS but upgrading weaknesses in the design are the most usable. For the gigging musician you gain much more then you loose.
Stomp Under Foot has gone this route.
CONCLUSION
At half the price you can get the Analog Fox Green Muff which is dead on to the sound of the original EH Sovtek Muff. It also updates jacks casing and hardware etc. Nothing that effects the sound but makes the pedal strong and reliable....check out the video.
The S.U.F. version sounds to me a bit in the 'new and improved' dept. Not really a bad thing ...but!
