Another company with a long history. They were one
of the first to offer a hot rodded Tube Screamer the
Tube Dreamer.
Both the name and there reference to a 'secret chip'
suggests this pedal is a ts ...a high gain ts but a ts all the same.
The pedal has a boost that can be boosted or cut by an internal trimmer. One unusual feature is a control for a wet dry mix. You can add some clean signal into the mix for more definition.
The overall effort makes for an old style pedal not a modern amp-in-a-box. You get a lot of character. You can get a lot of balz and punch.
Usable but?
You love it or you hate it or maybe just find it novel enough to want to have?
BUT ...at $280.00 USD I would think twice!!!
The Gainiac Plus is a similar pedal but richer in tone and dead easy to find a sound
you want with it's 3 way EQ. With a price that is almost just a 3rd of the Jam
it is a nobrainer to choose.
