Jessy Davey just has an ear for tone. I reviewed his Duelist not long ago. He takes what seems an over done idea but does it better then anyone.
He is using NOS vintage transistors that are switchable. In short it is like having a choice of different Fuzz boxes not by tweaking but giving you the actual transistors that make a Fuzzface a Fuzzface or a Muff a Muff.
This has been out since 2012 and just word of mouth has kept it selling & selling & selling!
Eric Johnston uses one and he uses mostly the original vintage pedals ...even live. His ts is totally trashed! lol
Perhaps the best Fuzz on the planet???
Fat and heavy a real Fuzz not a Fuzz that is trying to be an overdrive yet there is not a trace of fizz or nasty artifacts. Not cheap but not overpriced for a zero compromise in quality from the parts and build to the sound!
