Most bass players hate pedals. Some may get an EQ or Compressor but they are not effects but simply an extension of their amp. 

The number one effects killer is 99% of Bass effects FORCE you to use a pick. 

Many players, do not use a pick, do not want to use a pick and will never use a pick. Next, most effects either thin out your sound, kill the punch, muddy 

your sound or all three. The Haggard DOES NOT.

Sometimes you need a bit more aggression or simply need to have the bass out front. The Arachnid does all that.

It is based off of the defunct Fender Blender and uses vintage germanium diodes to give you a fat warm but never muddy sound. They simplified the layout and brought down the size. The layout is simple with just Gain and blend. You can just add that right amount of it or push it hard into totally out of control in your face sound.

CONCLUSION

It simply F.ing works! It is well made. It is cheap for a gourmet brand made in the USA pedal.   What's not to like?
