DAN DRIVE PEDAL SOLUTIONS SECRET MACHINE
A take on the old Hornby Skewes Zonk Machine which was a version of a Tone bender with an added 3rd germanium transistor.
The original had 2 knobs ...Fuzz and Swell ...on the
Dan it is labeled correctly as BIAS. The Dan has a volume control and mid boost on a toggle. It is made in Germany ...handmade using the original parts blah blah ...and blah.
CONCLUSION
When this came out in the late 60's it was the only game in town where I lived. I was young and and it was beyond my means. I owned a Maestro Fuzz Tone which had zip sustain so this was impressive. At this time there weren't any pedals. They were either small time or had not been invented.yet. lol
The mids help a lot. The original was thin and very buzzy. I am not impressed by the finish it is a piece of cloth glued onto the box.
