It is supposed to be based on the Shin-Ei-FY-2 Fuzz often referred to as the Companion Fuzz. Most makers can not help but adding their mark to a clone so this is not new. But this pedal has been changed from the thin and nasal of the original to a fat monster! The pedal has been around for 10 years selling from word of mouth under the radar!
CONCLUSION
So do I simply yawn and move on? Hell no! This pedal is it's own thing and a just fine how it is. It has a deep throaty growl with great lows ans a massive honky mid.It is neither buzzy or muddy.
Love it!
Have to give it a think ...no room on my board :-(
