was King. They made the MI Audio Crunch Box. Companies like
MOSKY cloned it and even called it the Crunch OD. To try and regain
the Crown MI brought out the Cross Over Drive. Both the Crunch &
the OCD are old school OpAmp pedals. They are more BOSS than
real tube amp. The Cross Over uses FET transistors. A FET works & sounds like a tube. In short MI were always ahead of the curve.
CONCLUSION __
The Fulltone OCD kept holding its own.
It has a dash of RAT bite that the players
even now like. The Cross Over do have
a following. It is now itself 12 years old.
