SUNN HAZE
A Fuzz called the Sunn Buzz was likely influenced of the Jordon Buzz Tone
having arrived a year after it. That said it did have its own vibe sound having used 3 transistors. It made its mark in the San Francisco scene having been used by Big Brother & the Holding Co. JDM has cloned a pedal of it called the Sunn Haze. The layout is simple with just the usual Volume, Tone and Gain.
___ CONCLUSION ____It definitely has a Tone Bender V.2 vibe as it too uses3 transistors. It pushes past the Bender with muchmore glitching and drop outs. That certainly fit theera with the whole Psychedelic thing.

Did they use it on Janis Joplin songs ?
ReplyDeleteThey did but in those days one day something was used and the next it was not. Everyone was stoned on acid more less every day. I sat with Janis Joplin behind a trailer that was the bands dressing room at an outdoor gig and we finished off a bottle of Jack Daniels together. She never said a single word. She just pointed at me to come sit beside her.
