It arrived in 1966 at NAMM but not was not in the stores until '67.It was in the tiny box you see below that you just inserted in theguitars output jack.The original company went on to making other more profitableelectronics and abandoned the Buzz Tone. Mahoney went on tomaking it as you see it now and eventually bought the Jordonname so they now say Jordan on the pedal.
CONCLUSION __It has its own vibe and is useable as a very effectiveboost if stacked on other dirt boxes. A few companieshave come and gone that built OD's with this as thealways on boost part of it.
... for a short time it was called the BOSS Tonebut BOSS pedals lawyers stopped that !
