A rectifier converts A/C to D/C. In most applications these days one uses silicon for its original use in radios. However the tone is killer. So Jon Cusack stumbled on some antique parts and decided to use them for a pedal. It is really a new sound not just using the same tech over and over that can only in comparison tweak what we have all been using.
Jon has had his own company and factory for decades. He found it more profitable to build and even design pedals for others. Often famous brands
we all may own but we never stopped to think who designed what???
The layout is Level, Gain and Mids. A toggle gives you 3 preset bass voicings.
CONCLUSION ___
A low gain OD that sounds like some vintage killer amp that disappeared by the end of 1940's. Mercury tubes were killing
it and germanium replaced it and by the 60's silicon took over
for most consumer applications.
You can preorder but the pedals are not do until May 8,2024.
