movall MP102
GALACTIC GROOVE FUZZY DRIVE
The company was an early adopter of mini pedals They were one of the first to get onto the early 'cork sniffer' reviewers site with a MIC pedal. In short they never have or do make price point junk.
It is an OpAmp Fuzz loosely based on the Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins E-H Big Muff one.
It has a simple Muff like layout of Volume, Tone and Gain.
CONCLUSION__
It sounds better than the current E-H. I bought it and was totally disappointed. No balz or serious lows. The Movall goes from heavy low sounds to OD territory.
Very usable and priced to sell!!

  1. How is the noise floor compared to the EHX?

  2. I do not have both to compare but all EH Fuzz boxes are relatively noisy. It is just part of a Fuzz being a Fuzz. you can pay a couple thousand for 60's Tone bender and it is very noisy. I decided one day to be realistic. Every recording I love has noise gates on the guitar tracks whether it is a decades old record or one made this afternoon, lol. So I use 4 of them. These days they are very good and once you learn to use them right you can deliberately push any pedal hard if the tone is better without even thinking it will cause noise. It also means if you find a killer vintage pedal you can use it knowing this vintage parts were noisy the day they put them in over 50 years ago.

  4. Check the Post ___NOISE GATES___WHICH IS THE BEST!!!
I had 2 TC Sentry V.1 and used them for 2 years. They did a good job on the noise but I found they colored the sound and made it sound thinner. The recent model is V.2 so I can not say that is improved or not. There are several great Gates compared in my Post. Each has features that the other has not. I have the REVV which can be dialed into perfection but it wants you to do just that. Dial it it in where tiny movements of a knob make important changes. Every pedal or as well as stacked pedals need different settings. Live you do not have the time for detailed resets. One knob pedals are then very appealing and work just fine.

  6. I can not find any difference listed but I do remember not being able to access the free Tone Print downloads that allows you to set the unit up to I believe focus or ignore different frequencies. Guys that use it are name Pros that as I understand had TC come and do it for them. In short it is most likely to be to set up one rig with one guitar, not 10 guitars all having different levels of frequencies or different levels of noise coming from, single coil, HB or active PU's etc, etc. I find these things not user friendly. They usually use terms to explain things that are like a doctor explaining things using latin, lol. These days the tech is powerful to have a program that does all this for you. I have 2 gates that were sold as limited editions and then made defunct. They have one knob and do a killer job and can be set up between tunes using different pedal with a different guitar in just a few seconds. I think they are Decimator clones. I may yet buy the Demon FX clone of it. It is $50.00 USD
