SUPERCHARGED OD (Legacy Ed.)
The original came in 2006.
A simple 3 knob high gain OD back before the MIAB thing was a thing and we all wanted our dirt pedals to sound like all the amps we could not afford or indeed could transport. Now we have a market split into hundreds of small markets. The bulk are hobbyist who do not need a board just a bigger bookcase to keep their pedals on. For some it is golf in the summer and guitar in the winter ....or a reasonable facsimile thereof.
The layout is Tilt EQ, which drops the lows but pulls up the mids as you brighten the sound so they sound more natural.
The Contour is a boost or scoop your mids.
This new version to be fair uses FETS so your tone is more tube like. CONCLUSION ___
It comes across as a better OpAmp Boss approached OD
not an Amp-in-a-Box. it is not a criticism because it is not meant to.
I can not help compare it to the $35 Caline Carmilla. They are different enough to hear,
BUT! are they different enough to mater? If you recorded the same tune with either
the winner would be the one you played on the best.
