The layout is a Gain knob.

It cleans up with your guitar volume control and if backed off it heads into a bit of ring modulation.

CONCLUSION ___ 

It is fat full and rich but very stable. You can actually use it knowing it will not drop out or take a WTF pill at the wrong time. OK, OK you have to set the gain up right and not drop back your guitar volume.

...when it comes to a Fuzz of any kind it is well worth  comparing  

it against the 8 ...JHS Legend Series Fuzz.  All $179.00 USD and 

all very good so they are a yard stick for value. The thing with 

a Fuzz is they are more the same than different and can be years 

old and as good as anything new. 

A great Fuzz can have as few as 7 parts on its circuit board. 

In short have a good look around once you are spending over $100.
