Well it has one of the widest ranges of distortion
I've heard in a pedal. It can do anything from hard rock thru a dozen genres of Metal. What it isn't is
tube sounding pedal. It is technically old school but since many modern players have gone back to using a Fuzz it now sits right in the middle. A lot Fuzz pedals of late have tweaked their old circuits to turn them into a Metal pedal. The way I see it
the R-405 is a great fit for current Metal.
