OVERDRIVE- WAY HUGE SMALLS Supa-Lead MkIII ...between the past & the future

$150.00 USD
WAY HUGE SUPA-LEAD MkIII
Somehow  even after reviewing over 2600 pedals I missed this one. Like most pedals it came and went with fashion.
The first wave of pedals were on the whole original pedals. Big tube amps and Fuzz came along together but once the makers of pedals seen that young players wanted big amp stacks the idea of turning a Combo into a big amp with a pedal was going to be a gold mine for the first one to get it right.
That was followed by the early guys to most pedals who soon seen they could have a small company and make their own.
So guys like George Tripps formed Way Huge and modded the the 80's Maxon SD9. It being part of the line of Maxon/Ibanez and Boss pedals who kept adding more gain to the Tube Screamer circuit.
The Supa-Lead is George's first medium gain OD/Booster effort.
Well George became a victim of progress when the
MIAB  pedals arrived and quickly and still do improve.. They all but taken over by the modeler until somehow we realized everything is cool from the first Fuzz to the modeler pedal that just came out. So as it stands you can now get both the Maxon and Georges Supa-Lead.
Even if sales get too small after over 10+ years to list it in Sweetwater I am sure their will be a Ltd Ed. pop up before long. So the layout is a simple volume, gain and tone.
CONCLUSION __
It is a very nasty near Fuzz like hard clipper OpAmp pedal. It is a take it or leave it kind of sound. By today's standards it is hardly amp like but it is very dynamic and exciting to play.
