Back in 1983 Boss introduce a clean boost Pre-amp with EQ. It was ahead of it's time. You got small boost and by using FET transistor when pushed you got a transparent low gain OD. It's biggest fan was David Howell Evans from U2 ...better know as 'The Edge'.

The layout with treble, bass and volume. It has a 5dB low cut that tightens the bass. inside it has dip switches to tailor the sound to your rig or give you a small poke in the mods. It uses the same NOS OpAmp that gave the Boss it's tone.

CONCLUSION

It makes a good very clean but very warm low gain OD. 

You can get a healthy 26dB boost if you crank it.

Handmade in Australia, it is surprisingly cheap.
