OVERDRIVE- LAZY J PROJECTS Cruiser Deuce ...Tweed-in-a-Box

LAZY J PROJECTS| CRUISER DEUCE
$280.00 USD
A handmade pedal from Jesse Hoff who makes 5 different amps based off of old Fender Tweed amps.
The pedal is a very touch sensitive low gain OD boost pedal.
The layout is volume, gain and compression. A switch lets you choose
three levels of distortion. A second foot switch is a boost.
There is no EQ purposely to have the pedal really be an extension of a real Tweed amp.The old tweeds were never designed to be dimed so they can get a bit woolly and honk in the lows.
CONCLUSION
The tone is hardly, tight tailored and in control.
In some cheap pedal I would be dumping all over it.
The difference is this pedal was built with a purpose. The idea was to truly not mess with the guitars actual tone coming into to it. It simply amplifies
it but gives you a choice of clipping diodes to create the sound of overloading the
transformer in a vintage tube amp. It totally nails it. It sounds like my first amp.
I had mid 60's National amp. Teamed with very clean modern Fender or
similar clean 6L6 or 6V6 tube amps it could be like magic.
Others, use at your own risk, :-)
