RED WITCH| FG IV FUZZ GOD
We are all blinded by the obvious. A new company comes along and
makes a killer pedal. It creeps up from the underground guys like me and becomes the "MUST HAVE" pedal for the masses. Soon it become the uncollest of all pedals because nothing is less cool than last years cool, lol.
The thing is many great pedals are still killer but have literally fallen out of fashion. Keeping in mind that the company has not gone totally corporate since the first version new versions can indeed be better or
equal but different. There are indeed 3 versions of the king of Fuzz the ToneBender. All good.

The new Fuzz God is indeed impressive. I took license with calling it new as it is just a callender year old. A good thing as all others are discontinued.
The pedal still uses NOS BC109 used in many early 70's Fuzz pedals. It was a series of transistors that are similar. The BC108 was used for the Fuzz Face. It is in the $100 Dunlop/MXR mini pedal variation.
There is no info to say what every switch is used for. They are however meant to you to use the sounds created by the 4 sets of internal Dip Switches. One that can give you an Octave Fuzz complete with a germanium voicing. Others can emulate all the Brit classics.
CONCLUSIONLike the new Walrus Audio EONS it covers all the bases. I feel the
Walrus does a modern really heavy thing better but those Brit
classic sounds the Witch has an edge. Having both would be ideal.
Its vast programmability and good design has removed the quirks in
all but a few Fuzz pedals. The price is fair with all its totally useable extras.
