I think what we have here is a Tube Screamer with a mid boost. Hardly remarkable. Another OpAmp wonder pedal?? Nothing wrong with it but WTF ...why would I want one as like most guys I have one, in fact I have two. My Caline Emerald Night ts even has the Keeley mid mod. Put the Caline beside a TS9 and I can dial in a within a hair the exact same sound. The clincher is it was $40.00 USD. Worse still the new MXR Super Badass Dynamic just came out which is both innovative and very versatile with a no excuse quality sound with a Dumble vibe but cranked heads into a MIAB territory when pushed. The MXR goes for that same $130.00 USD that this pedal sells for.

CONCLUSION 

WTF are companies like this thinking?? If you are new and small do a niche pedal. Handy FX are a small new company and for $120.00 USD they offer us a pedal with the Hudson Broadcast vibe. Dead cool and if you don't have the big bucks you can get into a pedal based off the old 50's radio broadcast preamp thing similar to the Hudson that when maxed gives you get some unique but killer distortion. Not just a novelty either but a useable pedal.
