OVERDRIVE- VICTORY AMPS V.1 The Sheriff ____NEW____ good MIAB ? ...Yes and no

VICTORY AMPS| V.1 THE SHERIFF
$250.00 USD
Victory Amps teamed up with Thorpy Pedals to do a pedal of their 'The
Sheriff amplifier. Not unlike Friedman and REVV did with their amps.
The amp was designed as is the pedal to cover tones from all Plexi sounds including modern versions with high gain.
The name is a twist on Jim Marshalls nickname 'The Gov'nor'.
The layout is gain, volume, bass, mids, treble and tone. Tone is a treble cut.
CONCLUSION
You can not make one amp or pedal to nail every Marshall amp, but as a one size fits all rep of the 'Brit Sound' it is a very impressive OD. It is worthy of being considered as part of anyone's kit. BUT!
Note the first video is from the company and the pedal is definitely going through
a serious over produced digital rig. The second does not give us any info on what
it goes through.
Add to that we do not have a review only a demonstration. Nothing is perfect we need some info what the flaws are. Even the Victory Amp is a broad take on a Marshall.
So the pedal by admission is 'not' a Marshall but an impression.
My great sounding NUX $60.00 USD Plexi Crunch is an impression. Why should
I pay over 4 times more? I have and would again. BUT! I need more convincing.
In short lets wait for the serious 'reviews'.

the fine print
None of the other Victory pedals have any serious reviews so I will hold off doing a Post on each. I picked the Sheriff as any MIAB is not only popular but even an average one by anyone is usable. The Kraken is more JCM 800. Others include a Fenderish one. Fender pedals are rarely even passable. Vox pedals are either Beatle-ish or Brian May in the buyer's thinking but the actual real amp for the most part sounds quite like a Marshall variant.
The Jack Metal pedal is in generic. A love hate thing as there are Soldano, Peavey 5150, MESA Dual/Rec choices to be had to tempt those that want a pedal to get the sound of their fave players amp.
Each one will take a lot of explaining as to why or why not to buy
I dropped in a video with a lot of explaining as a teaser.
