PEPERS PEDALS| DIRTY TREE BOOST
or a MESA Dual/Rec or indeed something budget that can give them a sound in the ballpark of these amps. It is much more aggressive and versatile than a Tube Screamer but guys with these amps as a rule have a Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer. I have found
if you use any of the high gain Amp-in a-Box and stack it with Boosts, Fuzz or a compressor I can get very convincing serious Pro Metal sounds from all or any genres. This pedal could add to that.
The layout is Level, treble and Bass. A toggle switches off the EQ and gives you a fixed sound that virtually hit the classic overall sound favored by the average Metal player.
CONCLUSIONI am very impressed it adds aggression and growl on lows that in a band never
cut but gets buried by a drums and bass guitar. It also pushes the upper mids
so they will cut though any band even those with a second guitarist and/or a keyboard player.
the fine printPepers is the one man show of Tony Peper in New Zealand witha big cult following. He hand makes all the pedals part time forthe joy of it. He has a full time gig as an Industrial Electrician. The guy handles everything without assistance.Shipping is determined by distance and he makes each pedalfrom Its order as they come in. An 8 week wait to havemade and go half way around the world is the norm
