This pedal has been around since day one of the company. It is heavily modified Rat. Like all Versions of pedals if not better you get 'more'. The whole point was to give you a massive high gain pedal. Yes it indeed uses an LM 308 OpAmp but includes silicon and
LED clipping diodes and lets you blend the two for a courser or smoother distortion.
CONCLUSION
It works well over everything from classic hard Rock to most genres of Metal. Not the best for a very specific genre but than many including myself not only freely includes all genres in my music but often as many as in one tune.

If you want to add this flavor to your arsenal of choices of OD's Assuming you have your basic choices already under foot.
Then trust me having anything based on a Rat seldom gives you better, only more .
You would better to just grab a ProCo Rat II at ...$80.00 USD or much less used! 😩
