It started with a craze to make the perfect transparent OD. Even the King of Tone is simply 2 modded BB's in a box. Next came the 2 in a box craze. Often as not one of the 

2 in a box pedals is a BB. I have noted that a lot of the guys that have reviewed the 2 in box wonders that put them on their board pretty much only use the BB side. In this day and age a secret lasts only a nano second and then it is headline news. In short many makers are getting out their take on a BB.

So Blammo are no stranger to doing over the classics. They have 19 of them. They usually do not overly tamper with the original design. In all but a very few cases this is a good thing. In this case they cleaned it modestly up. I use the Browne Electronics Carbon which is not just cleaned but waxed. You pay more for that much gleam because although they did not mess with the original design they did use the best available parts etc. Blammo is in the middle with the kind of build and parts you get in an MXR, or Boss pedal.

In short all the basic quality you really need, but nothing extra.

CONCLUSION

Blammo in short gives you a BB with sports car handling but unlike Browne it is not built by Ferrari. If I had the Blammo before the Browne I might well have never looked for another BB again. After all I have a Boss SD-1 and have no desire to get the Waza Craft version. But I am spoiled with the luxury of the Browne and could not go back, lol.
