Rift are a small Brit amp company. The EL 34 is their first pedal. The idea is to give the output of a Fender or equivalent that uses Fenders usual 6L6 or 6V6 tubes the sound of the output from a Marshall with EL 34 tubes. It does do it well. The thing is without giving you the preamp sound of a Marshall you do not get a MIAB sound. In short it is a nice tone but thin by Marshall standards.

CONCLUSION

I like the sound. I would use it for a clean Marshall sound. 

At the price it would be a luxury for just that.
