The DOD Preamp 250 has been a mainstay as a distorted boost 

pedal forever. It is a basic OpAmp hardclipper OD. To stand on its 

own its only serious omission is a Tone control. You can see that 

with the layout of the 'Rocket' it indeed sorts out this nano 

omission, lol. 

             CONLUSION ___

Like many things in life it is the obvious that is 

not addressed. Like the DOD it can do the boost 

thing and with most of us having a MIAB or the 

like it can push that into scary territory. But a

major bonus is it becomes a serious OD on 

its own.
